1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs

1 ½ cups saltine cracker (or any plain stock cracker)

1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup white chocolate chips

½ cup chopped nuts (like pecans or walnuts, optional)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Sea salt (for sprinkling)

Prep the Baking Pan

    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13 inch baking dish with parchment paper, allowing the sides to overhang for easy removal. Lightly spray or grease the parchment paper.

      Layer the Crackers

        Arrange a single layer of saltine crackers evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

          Make the Caramel Base

            In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the brown sugar and stir constantly until the mixture comes to a gentle boil. Allow it to boil for another 3-4 minutes without stirring, just enough time for it to thicken slightly.

              Pour the Caramel

                Carefully pour the caramel mixture evenly over the saltine crackers. Using a spatula, spread the mixture to ensure all crackers are properly coated.

                  Add the Second Layer
