Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup marinara sauce

1 cup pizza toppings of choice (pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms, olives, etc.)

1 pre-made pie crust (or homemade if preferred)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Meat Mixture: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Form the Beef Layer: Press half of the meat mixture into the bottom of a greased pie dish to form a crust-like base.

Layer with Cheese and Toppings: Spread half of the marinara sauce over the meat layer. Then sprinkle a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese, followed by your choice of pizza toppings. Top with the remaining marinara sauce.

Add the Second Layer of Meat: Press the remaining ground beef mixture over the top of the sauce and toppings, sealing the edges.

Top with Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over the top.

Add the Pie Crust: Carefully lay the pie crust over the top of your creation, crimping the edges to seal it well.

Bake: Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the meat is cooked through and the crust is golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Let the pie cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired, then serve with extra marinara sauce on the side.
