1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup mini Oreo cookies, chopped

1 cup Valentine’s Day M&M's (or regular M&M's)

Optional: Sea salt for sprinkling

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

      Add Egg and Vanilla: Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

        Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

          Mix Dry with Wet: Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined (do not overmix).

            Fold in Cookies and M&M's: Gently fold in the chopped mini Oreos and Valentine’s Day M&M's until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

              Scoop and Bake: Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space in between each for spreading. If desired, sprinkle a bit of sea salt on top of each cookie for an extra touch of flavor.

                Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers are still soft.

                  Cool: Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
