2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

½ cup brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 teaspoon cinnamon

½ cup brown sugar, packed

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

4 oz cream cheese, softened

¼ cup unsalted butter, softened

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk (or more for desired consistency)

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

    Make the Cookie Dough: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes). Add in the eggs, cinnamon, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.

      Prepare the Cinnamon Swirl Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and softened butter until blended into a thick paste.

        Shape the Cookies: Divide the cookie dough in half and roll each half into a rectangle (roughly 12x8 inches) on a floured surface. Spread half of the cinnamon swirl filling over each rectangle, leaving a small border around the edges.

          Roll and Cut: Carefully roll the dough up tightly from the long side, forming a log. Slice each log into approximately 12 equal pieces and place them cut-side up on the prepared baking sheets.
