Instructions

Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Mix well. In a separate bowl, combine the warm milk and 1/4 cup of melted butter. Add this mixture to the dry ingredients, followed by the eggs. Mix until combined.

Knead the Dough: Gradually add the remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, mixing until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until it's smooth and elastic.

First Rise: Place the kneaded dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.

Shape the Rolls: Once risen, punch down the dough and turn it out onto a floured surface. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and place them in a greased 9x13-inch baking pan, making sure they're slightly touching.

Second Rise: Cover the pan with a damp cloth or plastic wrap and let the rolls rise again for about 30 minutes or until puffy.

Bake the Rolls: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Brush the tops with the remaining melted butter right after taking them out of the oven.

Make the Honey Butter: While the rolls are baking, whisk together the softened butter, powdered sugar, honey, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth and creamy.

Serve: Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving. Spread with the homemade honey butter and enjoy your warm, sweet delights!
