1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons water

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions
 

In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger until well combined. Set aside.

    Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until cooked through and lightly browned.

      Pour the teriyaki sauce mixture over the sautéed chicken and stir well to coat. Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes.

        In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with water until smooth. Stir this mixture into the sauce and cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.

          Once thickened, remove from heat and transfer to a serving dish. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

            Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
