Ingredients

12 lasagna noodles

2 cups marinara sauce

1 cup ricotta cheese

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup shredded pepperoni

1 cup sliced bell peppers (red and green)

1 cup sliced black olives

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Noodles: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add lasagna noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Ricotta Mixture: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, oregano, basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth and set aside.

Spread the Sauce: In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a thin layer (about 1/2 cup) of marinara sauce evenly on the bottom.

Layering the Ingredients: Begin assembling the lasagna:

            - Place 4 lasagna noodles on top of the sauce.

              - Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles.

                - Sprinkle 1 cup of mozzarella cheese on top.

                  - Add a third of the pepperoni, bell peppers, and olives.

                    - Pour another layer of marinara sauce (about 1/2 cup) over the toppings.

                      Repeat the Layers:

                        - Add 4 more noodles.

                          - Spread the remaining ricotta mixture.

                            - Top with another cup of mozzarella, half of the remaining pepperoni, bell peppers, and olives.

                              - Add another layer of marinara sauce.

Final Layer: For the final layer, place the remaining 4 noodles on top, spread the rest of the marinara sauce, and top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle any remaining toppings (pepperoni, bell peppers, olives) on top.

Bake: Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Cool and Serve: Allow the pizza lasagna to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve hot.
