1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon sea salt

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Zest of 1 lemon

Optional: Red pepper flakes for a bit of heat

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C) to ensure it's hot enough for roasting.

    Prepare the Asparagus: Rinse the asparagus under cold water and trim the woody ends. Lay them out on a large baking sheet.

      Make the Garlic Mixture: In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, sea salt, black pepper, lemon juice, and lemon zest. If desired, add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little kick.

        Coat the Asparagus: Drizzle the garlic mixture over the asparagus, making sure each spear is well-coated. Use your hands or a spatula to toss gently until all the asparagus is seasoned evenly.
