8 chicken drumsticks

1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with aluminum foil for easy cleanup. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet for the chicken to bake evenly.

    Prepare the Marinade: In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until it forms a paste.

      Coat the Drumsticks: Add the chicken drumsticks to the mixing bowl and use your hands to thoroughly coat each drumstick with the marinade. Ensure each piece is evenly covered.

        Arrange on Rack: Place the coated drumsticks on the wire rack, spacing them apart to allow for even cooking.

          Bake the Chicken: Place the baking sheet with the drumsticks in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes.

            Add BBQ Sauce: After 25 minutes, remove the drumsticks from the oven. Brush each drumstick generously with BBQ sauce. Return them to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy.

              Serve and Garnish: Once done, take the drumsticks out of the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
