Ingredients

24 Oreo cookies (plus 2 for garnish)

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup whipped topping (Cool Whip or homemade)

1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional, for drizzling)

Chopped peanuts (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Crust:

    - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

      - In a food processor, crush the 24 Oreo cookies into fine crumbs.

        - In a mixing bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs with the melted butter until the mixture resembles wet sand.

          - Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove and let it cool completely.

            Make the Filling:

              - In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.

                - Add the creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined and creamy.

                  - Gently fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is light and fluffy.

                    Assemble the Pie:

                      - Pour the peanut butter mixture into the cooled Oreo crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.

                        - Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours, or until the filling is set.

                          Garnish and Serve:

                            - Before serving, if desired, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring until smooth, and drizzle it over the pie.

                              - Crush the remaining 2 Oreos and sprinkle them on top, along with chopped peanuts for added crunch.

                                - Slice and serve chilled.
