1 cup smooth peanut butter

1/2 cup honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups rolled oats

1 cup dark chocolate chips (dairy-free optional)

1/2 cup chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans)

A pinch of salt

Optional: 1/4 cup protein powder (vanilla or chocolate flavored)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the smooth peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and well combined.

    Add Dry Ingredients: Stir in the rolled oats, chopped nuts, and a pinch of salt. If you’re using protein powder, add it here. Mix until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the mixture is sticky enough to hold together.

      Press into Pan: Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving excess paper hanging over the edges for easy removal. Transfer the mixture to the pan and press down firmly with your fingers or a spatula until the mixture is evenly distributed.

        Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted.
