Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1-2 fresh jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped (adjust based on spice preference)

1/4 cup sugar

1 bottle (12 oz) of your favorite beer (lager or pale ale recommended)

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Optional: Additional sliced jalapeños and cheese for topping

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until well combined.

Add Cheese and Jalapeños: Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and chopped jalapeños, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dry mixture.

Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, pour in the beer and melted butter. Gently mix to combine.

Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; the batter should be slightly lumpy.

Transfer to Baking Pan: Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper. Pour the batter into the pan, spreading it evenly.

Optional Toppings: If desired, sprinkle additional cheddar cheese and jalapeño slices on top of the batter for an extra flavor punch.

Bake: Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack. Allow it to cool slightly before slicing.

Enjoy: Serve warm with butter or your favorite dip. This bread pairs perfectly with soups, chili, or simply on its own!
