Ingredients

1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tablespoons honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium recommended)

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Cooked rice or quinoa (for serving)

Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp: In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the bowl, tossing to coat. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15-30 minutes.

Heat the Oils: In a large skillet or wok, heat olive oil and sesame oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Cook the Shrimp: Remove the shrimp from the marinade (reserve the marinade for later) and add them to the hot skillet. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcrowd the pan; you may need to do this in batches.

Add the Marinade: Once the shrimp are cooked, pour the reserved marinade into the skillet. Bring it to a simmer, allowing it to bubble for about 1-2 minutes to thicken slightly.

Season and Serve: Taste the sauce and add salt and pepper as needed. Remove from heat. Serve the honey garlic shrimp over cooked rice or quinoa and drizzle with the thickened sauce. Garnish with chopped green onions and sprinkle with sesame seeds for an extra crunch.

Enjoy Your Dish: Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Sweet & Savory Honey Garlic Shrimp!
