Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tablespoons honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon rice vinegar (optional)

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Cooked rice or quinoa (for serving)

Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp: In a mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Stir until well mixed. Add the shrimp and toss to coat. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15-30 minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse.

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Cook the Shrimp: Remove the shrimp from the marinade, reserving the marinade for later. Once the oil is hot, add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, until they start to turn pink.

Add the Marinade: Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet with the shrimp. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the shrimp are cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly. Make sure the shrimp are well coated in the honey garlic glaze.

Season and Garnish: Taste the shrimp and season with salt and pepper if needed. Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Serve: Serve warm over a bed of cooked rice or quinoa, drizzling any leftover glaze over the top for extra flavor. Enjoy your delicious Honey Garlic Glazed Shrimp!
