Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the honey garlic marinade over them. Ensure each fillet is well coated. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for stronger flavor).

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Bake the Salmon: Remove the salmon from the marinade, allowing the excess sauce to drip off. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Reserve the marinade for later use.

Create the Glaze: In a small saucepan, bring the reserved marinade to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes, or until it thickens slightly.

Glaze the Salmon: Brush the simmered marinade over the salmon fillets. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Finishing Touches: Remove the salmon from the oven, then drizzle any remaining glaze over the top. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish.

Serve: Serve the honey garlic glazed salmon hot, with lemon wedges on the side for added brightness. This dish pairs beautifully with steamed rice and sautéed vegetables.
