Ingredients

1 pound sirloin steak, sliced into thin strips

1 cup jasmine rice

2 cups beef broth

3 tablespoons honey

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated (optional)

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup snap peas (or green beans), trimmed

1/4 cup green onions, sliced for garnish

Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Rice: In a medium saucepan, add the jasmine rice and beef broth. Bring it to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook for about 18-20 minutes until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat and set aside.

Cook the Steak: In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Season the sliced steak with salt and pepper. Once the oil is shimmering, add the steak to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add butter and let it melt, then stir in the minced garlic and ginger (if using). Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the honey, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine and allowing it to bubble gently for 1-2 minutes.

Combine Everything: Return the steak to the skillet, along with the cooked rice and snap peas. Stir well to coat everything in the honey garlic sauce. Heat through for about 2-3 minutes until the snap peas are bright green and tender.

Serve: Transfer the steak and rice mixture to serving plates. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
