Ingredients

1 package of refrigerated pizza dough (about 1 lb)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup diced ham (preferably smoked or honey ham)

4 large eggs

1/4 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 tablespoon olive oil

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Prepare Dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick. Cut it into 4 equal squares.

Cook Eggs: In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and oregano. In a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Pour in the egg mixture and scramble until just set but still a bit soft. Remove from heat.

Assemble Calzones: On each square of dough, layer a generous portion of scrambled eggs, followed by diced ham and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese. Be careful not to overfill!

Seal Calzones: Fold each square in half to form a triangle. Press the edges together firmly to seal, and then use a fork to crimp the edges for an extra seal and decorative touch.

Bake Calzones: Place the calzones on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Optionally, brush the tops with a little olive oil for a golden finish. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the dough is golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Once baked, let them cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm.
