Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 cups granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

4 large eggs

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)

1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch pie dish with cooking spray or butter.

Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.

Add the Eggs: Crack in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the mixture is smooth and glossy.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Pour into Pie Dish: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pie dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.

Bake: Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center remains slightly gooey. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out with a few moist crumbs.

Cool and Serve: Allow the brownie pie to cool in the dish for at least 15 minutes before slicing. Dust with powdered sugar if desired. Serve warm or at room temperature, and enjoy the gooey goodness!
