Ingredients

3 ½ cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 tablespoon instant yeast

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup warm milk (110°F/45°C)

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

6 tablespoons unsalted butter (for garlic butter)

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon paprika (for garnish, optional)

Flaky sea salt (for sprinkling)

Instructions

Activate Yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm milk, granulated sugar, and instant yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and salt.

Combine Mixtures: Once the yeast is activated, add it to the flour mixture along with the melted butter and egg. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the Dough: Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Alternatively, you can use a stand mixer with a dough hook on medium speed for 5-7 minutes.

First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-1.5 hours or until doubled in size.

Shape Rolls: Once risen, punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and place them in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

Second Rise: Cover the rolls with a kitchen towel and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes until puffed.

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small saucepan, melt 6 tablespoons of unsalted butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic, garlic powder, and chopped parsley. Stir and cook for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant; do not let the garlic brown.

Bake Rolls: Brush the rolls generously with half of the garlic butter mixture. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown on top.

Finish with Garlic Butter: As soon as the rolls come out of the oven, brush the remaining garlic butter on top. If desired, sprinkle with flaky sea salt and paprika for added flavor.

Serve: Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving. These rolls are best enjoyed warm and fresh, perfect for any dinner table!
