When it comes to making Garlic Butter Grilled Corn on the Cob, the quality of your corn is paramount. Fresh corn, ideally harvested the same day you plan to use it, will provide the best flavor and texture. Look for corn with bright green husks that are tightly wrapped around the cob, as this indicates freshness. The kernels should be plump and milky when punctured, which signifies ripeness.

Ingredients

4 ears of fresh corn, husked

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon sea salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Lime wedges (for serving, optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, smoked paprika, sea salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C).

Husk the Corn: Remove the husks and silk from the corn, and rinse them under cold water to remove any remaining debris.

Apply Garlic Butter: Using a brush or a spoon, generously apply the garlic butter mixture all over the corn, ensuring even coverage.

Wrap in Foil: Optionally, for easier cleanup, you can wrap each ear of corn in aluminum foil. This will keep the moisture in and the corn tender while grilling.

Grill the Corn: Place the prepared corn on the preheated grill. Grill for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the corn is tender and slightly charred.

Serve: Once grilled, remove the corn from the grill. If you wrapped them in foil, let them cool for a minute before unwrapping. Brush any remaining garlic butter on top, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve with lime wedges if desired.
