Ingredients

2 ripe bananas

2 cups plain Greek yogurt

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (or dairy-free if preferred)

2 tablespoons coconut oil (optional)

A pinch of sea salt

Sliced almonds or chopped walnuts for topping (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Bananas: Peel the ripe bananas and slice them into small rounds, about 1/4-inch thick. Place the banana slices in a mixing bowl.

Make the Yogurt Mixture: In another bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract. Mix well until smooth and creamy.

Assemble the Cups: In silicone muffin cups or paper-lined muffin tins, add a layer of the Greek yogurt mixture, filling each cup about halfway. Then, place a few banana slices on top of the yogurt.

Finish Filling: Spoon more of the yogurt mixture over the banana layer until each cup is full. Tap the cups gently on the countertop to remove any air bubbles and ensure even distribution.

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the dark chocolate chips with coconut oil (if using) in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until completely melted and smooth. Add a pinch of sea salt to enhance the flavor.

Drizzle the Chocolate: Once the yogurt cups are filled, drizzle the melted chocolate over the top of each cup, allowing some to flow down the sides for a delightful presentation.

Add Toppings: If desired, sprinkle sliced almonds or chopped walnuts on top of the melted chocolate for added texture and crunch.

Freeze: Place the muffin tin or silicone cups in the freezer and let them set for at least 3-4 hours, or until completely frozen.

Serve: Once frozen, gently remove the cups from the muffin tin or silicone molds. Let them sit at room temperature for a minute for easier removal. Enjoy the delightful combination of creamy yogurt, sweet bananas, and rich chocolate!
