Ingredients

1 (15 oz) can of chili (beef or vegetarian, your choice)

1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup of shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1/2 cup of cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup of diced onions (optional)

1 jalapeño, diced (optional, for heat)

1 cup of sour cream

1 cup of Frito corn chips

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mix the Base: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, diced onions, and jalapeño. Stir until smooth and well combined.

Layer the Ingredients: In an oven-safe dish, spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on the bottom. Pour the can of chili over the cream cheese layer, ensuring it covers the mixture completely.

Add the Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese evenly over the top of the chili layer.

Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Top with fresh cilantro for garnish and serve warm with Frito corn chips for dipping.
