Ingredients

6 cups Rice Chex cereal

1 cup white chocolate chips

1 cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed into smaller pieces

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1/4 cup strawberry-flavored gelatin mix (like Jell-O)

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Optional: additional crushed freeze-dried strawberries for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Cereal: In a large mixing bowl, measure out the 6 cups of Rice Chex cereal and set aside.

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each until the mixture is smooth and melted. Add in the vanilla extract and mix well.

Coat the Cereal: Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the Rice Chex. Gently fold using a spatula or spoon until all the cereal pieces are evenly coated with the chocolate.

Add Strawberry Flavoring: In a separate bowl, combine the powdered sugar, crushed freeze-dried strawberries, strawberry gelatin mix, and salt. Mix well to ensure an even distribution of the strawberry flavor.

Combine the Mixtures: Gradually add the strawberry powder mixture to the coated cereal. Gently toss until all the pieces are coated in the sweet strawberry powder.

Cool and Set: Spread the puppy chow onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Allow it to cool for about 30 minutes so that the coating hardens slightly.

Serve: After cooling, transfer the puppy chow to an airtight container for storage or serve immediately in fun bowls. If desired, sprinkle additional crushed freeze-dried strawberries on top prior to serving for an extra pop of flavor and color.

Enjoy: Your Fluffy Strawberry Shortcake Puppy Chow is now ready to be enjoyed! Perfect as a sweet snack or a delightful treat to share.
