Ingredients

1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/4 cup honey

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)

Toasted sesame seeds, for garnish

Fresh chives or parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). This high temperature helps to get those Brussels sprouts extra crispy.

Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: In a large bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss until they are well-coated.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Spread the seasoned Brussels sprouts evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Ensure they are in a single layer to maximize crispiness.

Roasting: Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until the sprouts are golden brown and crispy.

Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: While the sprouts are roasting, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil (if using). Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for about 3-5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly. Remove from heat.

Combine and Finish: Once the Brussels sprouts are done roasting, take them out of the oven and immediately drizzle the honey garlic sauce over them while they’re still hot. Toss them gently to ensure they are well-coated in the sauce.

Serve: Transfer the honey garlic Brussels sprouts to a serving dish. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and chopped chives or parsley for an extra pop of color and flavor. Enjoy warm!
