Ingredients
  

1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    In a large bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss until the Brussels sprouts are well coated.

      Spread the Brussels sprouts evenly on a baking sheet in a single layer.

        Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy on the edges.

          If using, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the Brussels sprouts during the last 5 minutes of roasting.

            Remove from the oven, and garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving for an extra burst of flavor and color.
