Ingredients

1 lb store-bought pizza dough (or homemade)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup sliced pepperoni

1/2 cup sliced bell peppers (any color)

1/2 cup sliced mushrooms

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangular shape, approximately 12x16 inches.

Layer the Filling: In the center of the dough, evenly distribute the mozzarella cheese, followed by the pepperoni slices. Top with bell peppers, mushrooms, and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese.

Season: Drizzle the olive oil over the filling, then sprinkle garlic powder, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes if using.

Roll the Stromboli: Starting from one edge, carefully roll the dough away from you to enclose the filling. Make sure the edges are sealed by pinching the dough together.

Shape and Cut: Once rolled, tuck the ends underneath to secure the filling. Using a sharp knife, make a few slashes on top of the stromboli to allow steam to escape.

Brush with Egg Wash: Carefully brush the beaten egg over the surface of the stromboli to give it a golden brown color while baking.

Bake: Place the stromboli on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Cool and Slice: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Slice into portions and serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
