Ingredients

For the Cheesecake Layer:

1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar

1/4 cup (60ml) Baileys Irish Cream

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup (240ml) heavy whipping cream

For the Chocolate Layer:

1 cup (170g) chocolate chips (dark or semi-sweet)

1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream

2 tablespoons Baileys Irish Cream

For the Topping:

1 cup (240ml) heavy whipping cream

2 tablespoons powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dark chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish

Crushed chocolate cookies or ladyfingers (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Cheesecake Layer:

    - In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar using an electric mixer until creamy and smooth.

      - Add the Baileys Irish Cream and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture, mixing until well combined.

        - In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated. Set aside.

          Make the Chocolate Layer:

            - In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream. Stir continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.

              - Remove from heat and stir in the Baileys Irish Cream until fully mixed. Allow the chocolate mixture to cool slightly.

                Assemble the Trifle:

                  - In a large glass trifle bowl or individual serving glasses, layer the cheesecake mixture first. Use about half of the mixture for the bottom layer.

                    - Next, drizzle half of the chocolate layer over the cheesecake layer.

                      - Repeat the layers with the remaining cheesecake mixture and finish with the rest of the chocolate layer on top.

                        Prepare the Topping:

                          - In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.

                            - Spread or pipe the whipped cream over the top chocolate layer of the trifle.

                              Garnish and Serve:

                                - Finish with chocolate shavings or a dusting of cocoa powder on top. If desired, add crushed chocolate cookies or ladyfingers for extra crunch.

                                  - Chill the trifle in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to allow the flavors to meld.
