Ingredients

2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)

1/2 cup chicken broth

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon olive oil

4 hamburger buns (for serving)

Optional toppings: coleslaw, pickles, sliced onions

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: Place the boneless chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot. Make sure they are spread out evenly to allow for even cooking.

Mix the Sauce: In a medium bowl, combine BBQ sauce, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.

Add the Sauce: Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the crock pot, ensuring the chicken is well coated.

Cook on Low: Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. The chicken should be tender and easy to shred.

Shred the Chicken: Once cooked, use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the crock pot. Stir to combine the shredded chicken with the sauce.

Taste Test: Check the flavor and adjust seasoning if necessary. You may want to add more BBQ sauce or spices according to your taste preference.

Serve: Serve the pulled BBQ chicken on hamburger buns, topped with coleslaw and pickles if desired. Enjoy with your favorite sides like baked beans or corn on the cob.
