Ingredients

2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into thin fries

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish

Optional: Your favorite dipping sauce (e.g., spicy mayo, ranch)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup and to help with crispiness.

Prepare the Sweet Potatoes: Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into thin, even fries (about 1/4 inch thick). Try to keep them uniform for even cooking.

Mix the Seasoning: In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.

Coat the Fries: Add the sweet potato fries to the bowl with the seasoning mixture. Toss well until each fry is thoroughly coated.

Spread on Baking Sheet: Arrange the seasoned sweet potato fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure they aren’t overcrowded – use two sheets if necessary to prevent steaming.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping the fries halfway through for even crispness. They should be golden and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

Optional – Broil for Extra Crispiness: For that perfect crispy finish, you can broil the fries for an additional 2-3 minutes after baking. Keep a close eye on them to prevent burning!

Serve: Remove the fries from the oven and let them cool slightly. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
