Ingredients

2 cans of crescent roll dough

16 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 large eggs

1/4 cup sour cream

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp lemon juice (optional, for zest)

1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Fresh fruit or fruit preserves (optional, for topping)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    Prepare the Crescent Roll Base:

      - Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and lay it flat in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Press the seams together to form a complete crust. This will be the bottom layer for your cheesecake.

        Make the Cheesecake Filling:

          - In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth with an electric mixer.

            - Add the granulated sugar and vanilla extract, and continue mixing until well combined.

              - Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each egg is completely incorporated before adding the next.

                - Mix in the sour cream, flour, and lemon juice (if using) until smooth and creamy.

                  Assemble the Cheesecake:

                    - Pour the cheesecake filling evenly over the crescent roll base, spreading it gently to ensure an even layer.

                      Top with the Second Layer:

                        - Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and lay it over the cheesecake filling.

                          Bake:

                            - Place the assembled dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cheesecake filling is set.

                              Cool:

                                - Once baked, remove from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Then refrigerate for at least 2 hours to let the flavors meld and the cheesecake set.

                                  Serve:

                                    - Before serving, dust with powdered sugar and top with fresh fruit or fruit preserves if desired. Cut into squares and enjoy your delicious Crescent Rolls Cheesecake!
