Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup refried beans

8 small flour tortillas

1 cup taco sauce (store-bought or homemade)

2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar and Monterey Jack blend)

1 cup diced tomatoes

½ cup sliced black olives

¼ cup green onions, chopped

1 cup shredded lettuce

Sour cream (for serving)

Jalapeños (optional, for heat)

Instructions

Prepare the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat, if necessary. Stir in the taco seasoning and according to package instructions (usually with a bit of water). Set aside.

Assemble the Base: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). On a baking sheet, lay four flour tortillas flat. Spread a thin layer of refried beans on each tortilla.

Layer the Toppings: Evenly distribute the seasoned ground beef over the refried beans on each tortilla. Drizzle a generous amount of taco sauce over the beef, then sprinkle with cheese.

Create the Double Layer: Place another tortilla on top of each assembled pizza. Repeat the layering process: spread refried beans, add ground beef, drizzle with taco sauce, and sprinkle with cheese.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the pizzas are golden and the cheese is bubbly.

Add Fresh Toppings: Remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes. Top with diced tomatoes, black olives, green onions, and shredded lettuce.

Serve: Cut into quarters and serve with a dollop of sour cream and jalapeños, if desired.
