2 cups fresh cherries, pitted and halved

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup sweetened condensed milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 cup graham cracker crumbs

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

⅓ cup powdered sugar

¼ teaspoon almond extract

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Cherry Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the halved cherries, lemon juice, and a tablespoon of powdered sugar. Toss gently to coat. Set aside to marinate for about 15 minutes.

    Make the Whipped Cream: In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, almond extract, and the remaining powdered sugar. Continue to beat until stiff peaks form.

      Combine Fruit and Cream: Gently fold the marinated cherries into the whipped cream mixture, being careful not to break the cherries. Set aside.

        Prepare the Crust: In a bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix well until the crumbs are evenly coated and the mixture resembles wet sand.

          Layer the Dessert: In a glass trifle dish or individual serving cups, start by layering the graham cracker mixture at the bottom, pressing it down slightly. Then, add a layer of the cherry cream mixture. Repeat the layers until you reach the top, finishing with a dollop of the cherry cream and a sprinkle of graham cracker crumbs.

            Chill: Cover the dish(s) with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, allowing the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.

              Serve: Before serving, garnish with fresh mint leaves and a few whole cherries on top for added decoration.
