Ingredients

For the Brownies:

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

For the Topping:

12-15 fresh strawberries, washed and dried

8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for a smoother chocolate)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Melt Butter: In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter completely. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar until fully combined and slightly cooled.

Mix Wet Ingredients: Add in the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

Mix Together: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Finally, fold in the chocolate chips.

Bake the Brownies: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Don’t overbake!

Cool the Brownies: Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Prepare Chocolate Coating: While the brownies cool, melt the chopped chocolate and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.

Dip the Strawberries: Dip each strawberry halfway into the melted chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. You can also sprinkle some sea salt on top of the chocolate for added flavor.

Chill Coated Strawberries: Place the strawberries in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes, or until the chocolate has set.

Assemble the Dessert: Once the brownies are completely cool, cut them into squares. Top each brownie with a chocolate-covered strawberry before serving. For an elegant touch, drizzle more melted chocolate over the top.

Serve & Enjoy: Serve these delightful brownies at room temperature for an indulgent treat that combines fudgy brownie goodness with fresh strawberries!
