Ingredients

1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced

6 slices of prosciutto or ham

1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 cup Dijon mustard

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 egg (for egg wash)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, approximately 12x16 inches and about 1/4 inch thick.

Spread the Mustard: Evenly spread the Dijon mustard over the surface of the pizza dough, leaving about an inch border around the edges.

Layer the Ingredients: Starting from one long edge, place the shredded chicken in an even line across the dough. Layer the prosciutto or ham over the chicken, followed by the Swiss cheese and then the mozzarella cheese.

Season the Filling: In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, olive oil, garlic powder, thyme, and black pepper. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the cheese layer on the stromboli.

Roll It Up: Carefully roll the dough away from you, starting with the edge where you layered the filling, ensuring all ingredients are tucked inside. Pinch the edges to seal the stromboli and place it seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Create Egg Wash: In a small bowl, whisk the egg. Brush the egg wash over the top of the stromboli for a golden finish. Optionally, you can sprinkle more breadcrumbs on top for added crunch.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and fluffy. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).

Cool and Slice: Allow the stromboli to cool for about 5-10 minutes. Slice it into thick pieces and garnish with chopped parsley.

Serve: Serve warm with a side of marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
