Ingredients

20 jumbo pasta shells

2 cups fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated

1 egg, beaten

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

3 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the jumbo pasta shells and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.

Prepare the Filling: In a large bowl, combine the chopped spinach, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, beaten egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Stuff the Shells: Generously fill each pasta shell with the spinach and cheese mixture. Place the stuffed shells in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, seam side up.

Add Sauce: Pour marinara sauce evenly over the stuffed shells, covering them completely. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Serve hot and enjoy your cheesy, creamy creation!
