The carnivore diet, as its name suggests, is a dietary regimen that focuses exclusively on animal-based foods. This means that followers of the diet primarily consume meat, fish, eggs, and some dairy products while steering clear of all plant-based foods. The principles of the carnivore diet revolve around the belief that humans thrive on a meat-centric diet, which can lead to various health benefits, including weight loss, improved mental clarity, and better digestion.

Ingredients

8 ounces of mozzarella cheese (string cheese or block cheese cut into sticks)

8 slices of thick-cut bacon

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Optional: fresh herbs (like parsley or thyme) for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

If using string cheese, pull each piece into two sticks, ensuring they are about 1/2 inch thick. If using block cheese, slice it into sticks of the same thickness.

In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper.

Take a slice of bacon, and wrap it around each mozzarella stick, ensuring the cheese is fully covered. If necessary, overlap the bacon slightly to prevent any cheese from peeking through.

Place the wrapped cheese sticks on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Ensure they are spaced apart to allow even cooking.

Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the bacon-wrapped sticks.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and golden brown. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning.

Remove from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes. The cheese will be very hot, so be cautious when biting in.

Optionally, sprinkle with fresh herbs for added flavor and presentation.
