Ingredients

1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

3-4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

1 teaspoon dried oregano

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

Grated Parmesan cheese, for garnish (optional)

Marinara sauce, for dipping (optional)

Instructions

Prepare Dough:

    - If using store-bought pizza dough, allow it to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes. This will make it easier to work with.

      Preheat Oven:

        - Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

          Roll and Cut Dough:

            - On a lightly floured surface, divide the pizza dough into 12 equal pieces.

              - Roll each piece into a rope about 6-8 inches long.

                Create Knots:

                  - Take each rope of dough and tie it into a loose knot. Seal the ends by tucking them under the knot so they don’t unravel during baking.

                    - Place the tied knots on the prepared baking sheet, spaced slightly apart.

                      Make Garlic Butter:

                        - In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.

                          Brush and Bake:

                            - Generously brush the garlic butter mixture over the knots, ensuring they are well-coated.

                              - Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the knots are golden brown.

                                Finish and Serve:

                                  - Once out of the oven, brush the knots once more with the remaining garlic butter for extra flavor.

                                    - For a touch of added flavor, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top while the knots are still warm.

                                      - Serve warm with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
