Ingredients

1 lb pizza or bread dough

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Grated Parmesan cheese (for topping, optional)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare Dough: If using store-bought pizza or bread dough, remove it from the packaging and let it rest for about 15 minutes at room temperature to make it easier to work with.

Shape Knots: Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a 6-inch long rope. Tie each rope into a knot and tuck the ends underneath to secure. Place the knots on the prepared baking sheet.

Make Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Brush Knots: Use a pastry brush to generously coat each knot with the garlic butter mixture. Reserve some garlic butter for later.

Bake: Bake the knots in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown.

Finish with Garlic Butter: Once out of the oven, brush the knots again with the reserved garlic butter while they are still warm. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top if desired.

Serve: Serve warm as an appetizer or alongside pasta dishes, and enjoy the irresistible buttery garlic flavor!
