Ingredients

2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)

2 cups cooked, shredded chicken

2 cups fresh broccoli florets (steamed)

1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

1 cup cream of chicken soup

1/2 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup bread crumbs (optional, for topping)

2 tablespoons olive oil (optional, for topping)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Broccoli: Steam the broccoli florets until they are bright green and slightly tender, about 3–4 minutes. Set aside.

Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, shredded chicken, steamed broccoli, cheddar cheese, cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly coated.

Transfer to Baking Dish: Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish with non-stick spray or butter. Pour the mixture into the dish and spread it evenly.

Prepare the Topping (Optional): If you'd like a crunchy topping, mix the bread crumbs with olive oil in a small bowl until they are well coated. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the casserole.

Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until it is bubbly and the top is golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes before serving. This will help it set a bit and make it easier to serve.
