Ingredients

1 can refrigerated biscuits (8 count)

1 pound breakfast sausage (bulk or casings removed)

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 cups milk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced tomatoes (optional)

1/4 cup sliced green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Prepare the Biscuit Crust: Open the can of refrigerated biscuits and separate them. Flatten each biscuit into a disk shape and press them into a pizza pan to form a crust, ensuring there are no holes.

Pre-Bake the Crust: Place the biscuit crust in the preheated oven and bake for about 8-10 minutes, or until just lightly golden. Remove and set aside.

Make the Sausage Gravy: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks until browned and no longer pink. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Thicken the Gravy: Sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage and stir to coat evenly. Cook for 1-2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture is smooth and thickened (about 3-5 minutes). Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to taste.

Assemble the Pizza: Pour the sausage gravy evenly over the pre-baked biscuit crust. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top, followed by diced tomatoes if using.

Bake the Pizza: Return the assembled breakfast pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.

Garnish and Serve: Carefully remove the pizza from the oven. Garnish with sliced green onions before slicing and serving hot.
