1 cup unsalted butter

1 cup packed brown sugar

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup graham cracker crumbs (about 10 full sheets)

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup crushed toffee bits (plus extra for topping)

1 cup sweetened shredded coconut (optional)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

    Prepare the Butter Mixture: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, stir in the brown and granulated sugars. Bring the mixture to a light boil, stirring constantly for about 3-4 minutes until everything is well combined and slightly thickened. Remove from heat and add the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.

      Layer the Graham Crackers: Spread the graham cracker crumbs evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking pan, creating a uniform layer.

        Add the Butter Mixture: Pour the hot butter and sugar mixture over the graham cracker crumbs, using a spatula to spread it evenly.

          Bake: Place in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are bubbly and golden.

            Sprinkle Chocolate and Toppings: Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips over the hot toffee layer. Let sit for about 5 minutes to allow the chocolate to soften. Once softened, use a spatula to spread the chocolate into an even layer. If desired, sprinkle the crushed toffee bits and shredded coconut over the top.

              Cool and Set: Allow the toffee to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then refrigerate for an additional 1-2 hours until fully set.
