1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup chocolate chips

For the Filling:

12 mini peanut butter cups, unwrapped

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking pan with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.

    Prepare the Brownie Layer:

      - In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Stir well until mixed.

        - Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.

          - Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix until just combined. Be sure not to overmix.

            Prepare the Cookie Layer:

              - In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

                - Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.

                  - In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.

                    - Fold in the chocolate chips.

                      Assemble the Brookies:

                        - Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.

                          - Place the mini peanut butter cups on top of the brownie layer, spacing them evenly.

                            - Gently dollop the cookie dough over the peanut butter cups, spreading it as evenly as you can without disturbing the cups too much.

                              - Pour the remaining brownie batter over the cookie layer, smoothing it out to cover the cookie dough completely.

                                Bake:

                                  - Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (but not wet batter).

                                    - Let the brookies cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

                                      Serve:

                                        - Once cooled, cut into squares and enjoy your Peanut Butter Cup Stuffed Brookies! Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
