Ingredients

2 cups shredded cooked chicken (rotisserie chicken works great)

1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup sour cream

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a kick)

2 green onions, thinly sliced (for garnish)

Tortilla chips, celery sticks, or baguette slices for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mix the Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, barbecue sauce, cream cheese, and sour cream. Stir well until everything is evenly mixed.

Add the Cheeses: Gently fold in the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. Make sure to reserve a small handful of each cheese for topping later.

Season It Up: Sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix again until all the spices are evenly distributed.

Transfer & Top: Pour the mixture into a baking dish (approximately 8x8 inches). Spread it out evenly and top with the reserved cheeses.

Bake It: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly, and the top is slightly golden.

Garnish: Once out of the oven, sprinkle the thinly sliced green onions on top for a fresh touch.

Serve It Up: Serve warm with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or baguette slices for dipping. Enjoy your smoky, creamy, and utterly delicious barbecue chicken dip!
